Security Best Practices
Domain-Specific Access
Member access is granted per domain. If you have multiple domains in your Cloudflare account, access is only granted to the specific domain you invited them to.
Email Notifications
Cloudflare will send you email notifications when:
- Member access is granted
- A member makes changes to your domain
- Access is revoked
Temporary Access
Member access should be temporary. Remove access once the support work is completed.
Monitor Activity
Check your Audit Log (under Overview) to see what actions members have performed.

Important Notes
🚨 Domain-Specific Access
Member access is granted per domain, not for your entire Cloudflare account. This provides better security isolation.
📱 Two-Factor Authentication
If you have 2FA enabled on your account, member access works independently while keeping your main account secure.
💡 API Access
For advanced integrations, we may request API token access instead of member access. This provides more granular control over permissions.
🔄 Audit Trail
All changes made by members are logged in your Cloudflare audit log for transparency and security.
